Oral Health Allianz

VDC initiated 6 Flagship Programs to promote oral health awareness and free dental care services to underprivileged and under-served communities. Each _lagship program focuses on different target groups and are aligned to our overall vision “Oral healthcare for all”. The programs are implemented in collaboration with various Government bodies (Village Panchayat, Public Health Centers, Anganwadi Centers etc) and educates grassroot healthcare workforce (ASHA, ANMs, GNMs, etc) to empower them as torch bearers of Oral healthcare in the communities

Miles for Smiles

A Door to door dental screening and awareness program to educate rural households on Oral health. 35-40 dental students visit on Sundays and visit the villagers in smaller cohorts to screen and provide education on preventive oral hygiene habits and information about nearest free or affordable dental care.

Dental Care on Wheels

The free dental screening and treatment camps are organized with the mobilization support of community partners, operated through Mobile Dental Unit (a Bus with 2 Dental Chairs)

Suraksha

Inspired by Auroville Dental Clinic, Pondicherry, the program takes preventive dental care treatments to children right to the doorsteps of their schools. The program follows a unique approach of using a flat dental chair design that makes it very easy for mobility and also targets to reduce the ergonomic stress on dental care practitioners.

Project 100 Smiles

The program intends to provide free dentures to senior citizens from lower economic strata.

Pratham

The program targets Educate, enable and empower frontline healthcare workers and community influencers in rural areas (ASHAs, ANMs, Teachers etc)

Family Adoption Program

The aim of Family adoption program for dental students is to provide long term dental care support through awareness and guidance to families. Under this program, dental students aim to enhance dental care, develop empathy, prioritize patient-centered care, and foster long-term relationships. Through the program, students have the opportunity to promote community engagement and embrace social responsibility as future healthcare professionals.
